We know that infringements are often perpetrated on a global basis. We have a detailed knowledge of those jurisdictions which are more sympathetic to rights’ owners, providing advice on the law and likely damages recovery. Consequently we are as involved in managing claims overseas through our long established network of specialist lawyers as we are in bringing claims in the UK.

We are at the forefront of exploiting the new European Union design rights that have enormous potential to redress some of the pre-existing weaknesses in the UK’s industrial design laws.

We recover substantial compensation for our rights owning clients on an ongoing basis and are often regarded by them as an important profit centre. Often products which infringe our clients’ rights are pulled from sale within hours of us being instructed.

We have good connections throughout the fashion industry. The firm’s team has consulted to Premiere Vision (one of the largest trade fairs in the sector) for more than 15 years and provides legal services at their twice yearly shows in Paris to buyers and sellers.
