What is IP?

Intellectual property is the legal protection afforded to the physical expression of creative ideas. Proving that those ideas were created and realised, and that you are entitled to sue on them is the key to a successful claim.

The law is a complicated patchwork quilt that has built up over more than 250 years. We advise our clients across the entire gamut of IP including:

  • Copyright
  • Moral rights
  • Breach of confidence
  • Industrial designs (including Community Design Rights)
  • Trade marks
  • Passing Off
  • Patents
